Case study
One character, infinite worlds
Outcome: Full brand system in 4 days — mascot, logo, colours, merch and animation
RORO was created for the Recraft × Contra Mascot Design Challenge 2026. The brief: one original character, a name-logo, brand colors, and 3–5 applications. Everything built inside Recraft Studio.
RORO is a stylized axolotl — curious, fearless, always moving between dimensions with a lantern in hand. Never lost, never afraid. The name needed to feel like the character: a little chaotic, a little alive.
Logo / Wordmark — The name is the character. RORO's wordmark is bold, rounded, and slightly off — like it was drawn by hand in an underground tunnel with a lantern for light. A little chaotic, a little alive. Instantly recognizable across any world RORO lands in.
Four colors, one character. Slate blue-grey body, coral red gills, deep navy world — and a fourth that ties it all together. Built to hold across every dimension.
A print series where RORO travels across dimensions — ocean depths with glowing jellyfish, crystal caves, surrealist staircases. Each world is a new environment, same character, unmistakably RORO.
If Worlds is about where RORO goes, States is about who RORO is. A lantern explorer on surrealist stages — curious, lost, glowing, at rest. Same character, different emotional registers.
Stickers, t-shirts, packaging. One character, everywhere it belongs. The brand system was designed from the start to live on physical objects — not just screens.
Stickers, t-shirts
Two scenes brought to life — the surrealist staircase and the cosmic bath. Same worlds, now moving. Built with Recraft's image-to-video workflow
Everything was built inside Recraft Studio in 4 days — character concepting in V4.1, logo in Vector mode, consistency locked through reference-image workflows, motion through image-to-video. Behind the scenes footage included.
